one on ones
as simple as they are its one of the best things to help. One on ones are a great way to work on new techniques and to refine old ones. it shows toughness and they're really fun to participate in. it makes you want to work hard instead of always doing mindless stepping drills or just running. this gives a chance to have a game like situation that is mostly safe and can be used anytime with or without pads. incorporating this into practice will really boost morale and speed practice up.
